The 7th International Conference of the French Association of Experimental Economics (ASFEE) will be held at
ESSEC Business School, Cergy-Pontoise, June 9-10, 2016
Organized by ESSEC with the support of the LABEX MME-DII and the THEMA Research Center.
Keynote speakers: Professors Rachel Croson (University of Texas at Arlington) and Simon Gaechter (Nottingham University).

Call for Papers: Eleventh Doctorate Winter School on Inequality and Social Welfare Theory
the call for application for the Eleventh Doctorate Winter School on Inequality and Social Welfare Theory (IT11) on: “Fairness, opportunities and inequality transmission” is available at

The aim of the School is to provide junior and senior researchers with the opportunity to discuss issues concerning:
Inequality of opportunity: theory, evidence and policy implications.
Transmission of inequality: family background, inheritances, geographical segregation.
Inequality and well-being. Social comparisons, fairness, cooperation and redistribution.
The School is organized by: the Department of Economics of the University of Verona; ECINEQ – Society for the Study of Economic Inequality;
LISER Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research; STATISTICS Norway, THEMA-University of Cergy-Pontoise, and ZEW Centre for European Economic Research.
It will take place in January 2016 from Monday 11 to Thursday 14 in the teaching facilities of the University of Verona in Canazei (Italy).

Daniel McFadden Honoris Causa – Workshop on Advances in Discrete choice models – 17/18 December 2015 – THEMA
On December 17th, 2015, UCP will award a degree of Doctor Honoris Causa to Daniel McFadden, recipient of the Nobel Prize in economics 2000. At this occasion, Nathalie Picard, Olivier Donni and André de Palma organize a workshop on “Advances in Discrete Choice Models» December 18th, 8:30 to 18:00 (followed by a cocktail).
The speakers at the workshop will be : Daniel McFadden, Moshe Ben-Akiva, Chandra Bhat, Michel Bierlaire, Andrew Daly, Mogens Fosgerau, Stephane Hess, Marc Ivaldi, Emmanuel Kemel, Nathalie Picard, Joan Walker and Cliff Winston. This event is funded by UCP, LABEX MMEDII, THEMA and ANR ELITISME.
